Patient Stories
Anonymized patient journeys submitted to ProstateHealth.mx. Educational only; outcomes vary.
How we use stories
Patient stories are illustrative, anonymized, and shared with explicit consent. They are not testimonials, marketing endorsements, or evidence of treatment effectiveness. Stories never replace clinical evidence in our recommendations.
Submit your story
If you would like to share your experience to help other men understand the BPH journey, email coordinator@prostatehealth.mx. We never publish identifying details without explicit written consent and we always allow stories to be removed at any time.
Selected anonymized themes
"I waited too long"
The most common theme in submissions: men report tolerating worsening symptoms for years before consulting a urologist, sometimes culminating in acute urinary retention. The earlier evaluation occurs, the wider the menu of effective options.
"I didn't know there were minimally invasive options"
Many patients who underwent TURP a decade ago were not offered minimally invasive alternatives because those options had not yet matured. Today's menu is far broader.
"Retrograde ejaculation was a bigger deal than I expected"
For sexually active men, the impact of retrograde ejaculation on intimacy is often underestimated in pre-op counseling. We urge patients and clinicians to discuss sexual priorities explicitly.
